(UNPHU), in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. She was accepted into the medical school of the same University in 1989. She continued her studies until 1992, when she finished Basic Medical Sciences and married Mr. Daniel Thompson (Administrative Director of MedBill Buster, LLC.).
She received her Medical Assistant's diploma in 1995, with honors, and
after working as an M.A. in a hair transplant clinic, she decided to
finish medical school. She went back to medical school in Dominican
Republic with her baby. She graduated in November of 1998 from UNPHU
(University holding one of the most prestigious medical schools from the
Caribbean), and her credentials were validated by the ECFMG (Educational
Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates) and Educational Perspectives
(an independent transcripts evaluating organization) in the US.
After returning to the U.S., the couple had their second baby and
Patricia studied until obtaining a Diploma in Child Psychology, from Stratford Career Institute. She worked part-time throughout her pregnancy, in Morris Family Medicine as a Medical Assistant, where she became intimately acquainted with both the clinical and administrative intricacies of the medical practice.
While not yet a practicing or licensed US Physician,
Patricia's passion for medicine encompasses
both the business and administrative aspects of medicine, in addition to
the clinical element, and led her to obtain a certification in
electronic billing. She was subsequently hired as a night instructor in
Dover Business College, a position that afforded her the opportunity to
teach not only clinical, but also medical information management
subjects. Patricia's attention to detail, love of computers, research, internet, and her
excellent mathematical skills have driven her to learn more and more about the proper management of a medical office. She is
also a Registered Medical Assistant, certified in EKG and Phlebotomy by NHA
(National Healthcareer Association)
and Certified Reimbursement Specialist by AMBA (American Medical
Billers Association). She is also a Clinical Research
